Grayson found me.
I'd set up camp for the night in a secluded clearing in a forest, I don't know where. I'd stolen a tent and camping materials a few weeks ago, and had some food left over from the previous day's foraging. I was in the tent in my sleeping bag when I heard the distant sounds of an approach. At first I ignored it, thinking it was just an animal, but it soon became clear that it wasn't.
I clambered out of the tent, into the half-light and found myself face to chest with Grayson. I staggered back, looking around the clearing. He wasn't alone. There were others.
Compared to Grayson, they looked tiny and harmless, a small blond girl and a dark haired boy. Then they stepped forward were I could see them clearly. I saw their vivid red eyes, the bloodless pale skin, and the crests they both wore around their neck. They were Volturi.
"Hello, sister."
Grayson smiled down at me. It sent shivers down my spine. I was in trouble here.
I looked him in the eyes, determined not to show him how much I feared him.
"Grayson." I said coolly. "What are you doing here? With your... friends."
At that the girl laughed slightly under her breath. She stepped towards me, smiling a sinister smile that didn't reach her eyes. Grayson's gaze was fixed on her, watching her every move, and I realized that she was the one in charge here.
"We have been sent to collect you."
Her voice was the voice of an angel, sweet and childlike. I didn't trust it one bit.
"No." I looked her straight in eyes, "I'm not going with you."
I began to turn back to my tent, but then suddenly, my entire body was filled with the most excruciating pain. My knees buckled beneath me and I fell to the floor. It felt like every part of me was burning, my body spasmed out of control as I lay on the floor helpless.
And then it was gone. I opened my eyes to see the girl standing over me, a smirk on her face.
"Coming?" she asked.

Brothers and Sister
Being the youngest in my family, it meant that I was never close to all of my siblings. Calliana was only two years older than me, and being the only other girl, we were always close. My father wasn't around much, so I wasn't close to him - Calliana was the one who raised me, teaching me everything I needed to know . How to read and write, how to stay inconspicious, where to find food.
It's not to say I wasn't close to the rest of my family. Michah and Uri were never far away when I needed them. But with Grayson and Elias, it was a different story. They were far older than me- Grayson had been fully mature for ten years, and Elias for seven by the time I was born. To tell the truth, I was always a little scared of Grayson. It was the way he treated me, like I was... his servant, or something. He was so big too, he was practically built of muscle, and was over six feet tall. I could tell that he didn't think much of me, he was just like my father in his beliefs about the humans, where as I was leaning towards a more vegetarian approach.
Elias was just never around, so I never really got to know him. The most time we ever spent together was one day were he spent the entire day trying to force me to hunt humans. I refused, he walked away and I've only seen him once since. It was soon after that that I left my family.
Michah and Uri were much closer to my age, being only three and four years older, so I spent much more time with them whilst growing up.
They both have such different personalities, but I love them both equally. Michah is just so FUNNY, the whole time, he can have me smiling in minutes, no matter how sad I was. He's like a big bear, I just want to hug him! He just never stops.
Uri is the opposite, he's so quiet and deep, but we can talk for hours, about anything and everything. I love my brothers dearly, and it hurts me that I can't see them anymore. I would love to go and see them, just for one more day, but I'm scared of what Grayson could do to me. When I left, he swore that I was dead to him, and now he is on the side of the Volturi, he could have me killed easily.
The only contact that I have with my family now is through Calliana. She watches out for me, and lets me know what's happening with Michah and Uri. She keeps trying to convice me to come and visit them, but I tell her it's too dangerous. For all of us.
Until I know that Grayson can't hurt any of us, I won't return to my family.
I just have to keep wandering.

The Start Of It All
So... I don't know where to begin really... It's complicated.
So I was born about 18 years ago, to a human mother and a vampire father. My mother died and my father raised my, along with my five older siblings. Although we share the same father, our mother's are all different. See, my father, he wants to create a new race. Whilst vampires are good a pretty much everything, he thinks that by combining human and vampire genes to create... us, that we're a superior being from others, and that humans were just... food.
But when I was about three, I decided that I wasn't going to do that. I put my foot down and finally stood up to him. That went well... He banished me from his family, and I didn't dare go back, what with him being so much stronger than me. For two years I just wandered, living in forests and on the outskirts of towns, forraging for food, mainly human food. But not meat. I've been put off that for life.
In those two years, I kept in contact with my sister, Calliana. She kept me informed of what was happening, and it was through her that I found out that my father had been killed by a group of other vampires. The Volturi. Turns out that his bid to create a new race had caught their attention, and they did NOT approve. They came and hunted him down. According to Calliana, my brothers and sisters were almost killed too, but the leader, Aro, spared them, and offered them a home with him. Two of my brothers, Grayson and Eliah , accepted, but Calliana, Michah and Uri declined, prefering to stay together and try and create a life for themselves in the human world.
And then there's me. Aro saw of my existance in the other's thoughts, and soon they found me too, and offered me the same proposition. I too declined, prefering to wander alone.
I guess it's the freedom I enjoy, of having no boundries and nobody to answer too.
So that's me. Megena. I hope you enjoy my story.
